      1. personally – i think it’s better – I would never call one’s wrinkles sculptured by time and life experiences “interesting” like something one can see at a museum exhibition…

  1. What a truly magnificent photo! The love and wisdom that is etched into the older woman’s face is mirrored in the young girl’s expression. Pure happiness in it’s simplest and most powerful form.

  2. The comment under your picture makes your photography even better!
    And your picture… Stunning!
I can’t remove this smile from my face! Contagious happyness ?

I always wonder how to ask someone if I can take their picture. I guess you made a joke to get their smiles šŸ™‚

I have a photo blog too… Come to visit it as often as you want. I’d be reallt pleased.
It’s suitable for all of you guys šŸ™‚

I thought ‘grace’ was the name of your blog though … that would have been a great name! : )

  4. Old age has a way of attempting to remove the spring in our steps. The reason, the springs brings pain, most of the time. Such is the case for me with two disks in my back that are fused together from a fall I took ten years ago. Each morning upon awakening, it is a painful experience going from a prezel to an upright human being. The answer to bringing joy each day into my life regardless of this pain has been bringing humor to my life. I find the more I attempt to bring laughter to others, the less I feel the pain.

  5. What a work of art! The luminous smile of the old lady, her wrinkles and the contrast with the little girl’s pink cheeks in the back ground gives incredible life to this shot. Simply magnificent.

  6. Where was this taken? Very lovely. I like the old woman leading the young. That is the way it should be….

  7. I love the contrast…the old lady and the little young girl behind her. The quote below fits perfectly.
The lady looks graceful and her wrinkled face is so beautiful.
    Good Job!

  8. Superb colours and faces – the whole composition works so well and it’s absolutely beautiful; makes folk smile too so that can’t be bad either. Thanks v much for sharing this. Great photo

  9. I like how you’ve put up a quote comparing both beautiful old and young people, whilst showing both kinds in the picture. A very charming picture indeed.

  12. I am at a conference where we are being called to think about “who we want to have been” — That is, what do we want to be able to look back on with gratitude and joy at the end of our life. This woman is a lovely icon for this conversation. thanks, Amy

  13. Truth Indeed. People in the past tends to live longer than the new generation.Probably because of health lifestyle.

I love Lola’s smile (english ‘GrandMa’). I missed my Lola:-(
